BLOGGERS QUILT FESTIVAL. MY ENTRY.

http://parkcitygirl.blogspot.com will get you the rules and details.

I have decided to join the Bloggers quilt festival.
Click on the blog above and see how to join up.

This is my favorite quilt. It's not new. It's over 40 yrs old. I restored it to its former glory saving as many of the original blocks as I could.
It was a labour of love on my part and I am so very proud of this quilt. The red border just pops the red inside the blocks.
Hope you like it.

Very nice, I love the old ones too....their use of color was so different than ours is now and it's nice to have that influence of those hard working ladies!

Is that a ticking fabric or seersucker, the blue and white stripe? I probably never would have put those values together in quite that way, but look at the pattern the red emphasizes! So cool!

Glad you were able to restore it!

What a treasure you have here, Nanci. Working with old textiles is so different from cutting into new fabric. It takes the love you describe.

I like it, but I want to know where it came from. Your restoration is great, I just wonder about the backstory.
