FTF....THE ROYAL WEDDING KISS

Ok, I got up at 5:30 am to watch the wedding.  Just one of over two billion people to see the pomp and ceremony!

What can I say, loved the dress.  Loved the simplicity of the little bouquet.  Loved the simple veil to go with the georgous tiara.

The Brits are the only people that have all the trimmings one needs to put on a show of this kind.  They've got the uniforms, the horses trained, the carriages, and not to mention the palace to have it all.

Yep, it was history in the making.  We won't see anything like this in my lifetime.

You know, so many brides don't even look like themselves on their wedding day and I hear that the one thing she said to everyone was " I want William to recognize me!"  He did.

I wish  them much happiness.

I had my husband TiVo the whole thing - 6 hours of it, I think. I watched it all in 3. What a terrific wedding. Well done indeed! My favorite part of the kiss picture you have posted is the little bridesmaid on the left. I guess it was just too loud for her. 8) Seeing Harry in the coach with all the little ones was a treat too. He looked like he was having a wonderful time. I'm glad it all went so well; it was certainly fun to watch.

I only watched part of it I must admit - but I loved her dress and the hair, the veil, the train- so sleek and natural - so like Grace Kelly :) hated Diana's dress from years gone by and so glad she opted to wear something so much more natural.

A beautiful wedding! Loved it!

Such a much nicer dress than Diana's.

I hear she did her own makeup. She had someone come in to "rehearse" the process, but she did it. Yes, very simply elegant. Less is more. Well done, indeed!

As I was out last night, I've recorded it, but I was able to watch the last part at Buckingham Palace when I got home, so now need to replay to see the rest.
From what I have seen this morning it looks like it was a fabulous day.

I missed out .. didn't want to get up at 3 a.m.; however, I did look at pictures today and just loved her dress.

I thought she looked beautiful.Understated and elegant and a picture of Grace Kelly popped into my mind (and I see the media are now saying the same thing)

It was certainly worth taking a peek although I didnt watch the whole thing. The pressure will be on them now to produce an heir!

I lapped it all up it just sucked me right in, I wasn't going to watch it and then i switched it on and couldn't stop watching. I really enjoyed it.

I recorded the wedding and watched in the AM. What fun. I know I have a fancy hat like that in the closet someplace. I'm old enough to remember Queen Elizabeth getting married to Prince Philip--no TV! Our teacher made a map of the procession route.

Wasn't it fabulous. I made a batch of scones with currants in them and took them over to my Mom's at 5:00am we sat and ate them with coffee and watched the whole things and then that night I watch all of the reruns again. Ahhh!

Yes she was gorgeous and I loved her dress and veil, very victorian looking. Everything was divine....especially the KISS! :-) This will make you sick, my parents live in London for the summer and their flat is a stones throw from Westminster Abbey and they didn't even step outside for a look! Mum watched it on the TV. I would have given my right arm to be staying in their flat this summer!!

I love the petulant little girl who has obviously had enough pomp and circumstance. She is ready to get out of her get up and get to playing. While dress up is fun, I sort of agree with her. Enough already!

Great Post!
