HIP HIP HOORAY...RECOVERY!

Hi everyone: I'm just posting a short not as Karen suggested to let you know that I arrived home on Saturday.

There's no place like home. Hospitals just don't have the charm I need.

I'm a couple of days behind in my therapy due to low blood pressure, but the therapist has been here already and says not to worry about any of my progress. Slowly but surely does the job.

I've very little pain but some discomfort which is to be expected. Having a sleep in one's own bed is bliss. My sweetie is so much a better nurse than I can ever expect to be.

Thanks for all you notes of encouragement. It made my day to open the mail today!

Welcome home! Sounds like the surgery went well and recovery is going OK as well. You'll be dancing sooner than you know!

I'm new to your blog but please take care of yourself. We tend to overdo it after major surgeries...us quilters. Let everyone else 'do' for you!
Hugs!

Oh, Nanci, it is good to hear from you. Surgical pain is such a relief from arthritic pain and it will go away pretty fast. Take all the TLC you can get...like the pain, that goes away too. Hopefully soon you will be able to concentrate on some hand work.
Cheers

Good to hear and see that you are back. One day at a time is what it will take and before you know it you will be "dancing" again!

Glad to hear you're on the path to recovery!

I was just having a mental image of those lunch tables that swing over the bed... a sewing machine on that, and the pedal by the foot of the bed should do the trick during hospital stays, no?

Oh Nanci, it's wonderful to hear from you. I was going to send a welcome home e-mail but was afraid you were banned from sitting at the computer. You take good care of yourself my dear friend!!!

Hope you're recovering and rehabing well. I had a hip done 2 years ago. I was pretty well pain free afterwards, did all the right things but was bored to death being active and a big walker. But in 4 months we went on a trip to Australia with no hip problems just jet lag. My only "problem" has been exercise with impact so the kickboxing I started in the spring only lasted about a month. I did do a fall wool felt hand applique wall hanging while recovering. I had cut it all out previously though.Keep up the good work. You'll be right as rain in no time. Sue on Lake Huron.
