This is my first time up since surgery last Monday. Happy Easter to all and thank you for the kind emails I've received.
I haven't been at the computer as this bunion surgery believe it or not was more painful than the hip replacement. Hard to believe I know. I am now hobbling around with a screw sticking out of my second toe, aching back because of the changes to my body structure when walking.
Every time |I am on my feet, the stupid toes swell. Swell! Yeah it's an old saying for wonderful!
So, needless to say, I'm a moaning fool, am not able to help with the Easter dinner planned at my friend's house. I am going to repay this kindness in huge way, soon.

Nanci that sounds very painful. I friend of mine had foot surgery awhile back and she was in pain for several weeks, you will get back to normal soon and will be moving around the cottage in great form when the weather warms up enough for you to get back there - you will be a new woman!

Ooooouuuuchhhhhh! I hurt just hearing about it . I'll keep my bunions thanks. I wish I was closer to do something for you. Good luck and have a wonderful Easter.
I'm sorry you're having to go through this, but I hope your feet feel so much better in a short while that it will have all been worth it. In the meantime, keep your feet up and enjoy the day!

Bunions are very painful I hear but think how much better you will be once you are on the mend. You will be able to have a swellegant, elegant party then. xx

Oh Nanci, I feel soooo bad for you!! I hope that pin isn't in your foot for too long and you heal up quickly. What a crumby way to spend Easter!!

OH my goodness, that sounds so awful!! That is just not cool. I hope that your recovery will be quick. I am confused about having a screw sticking out of your toe. I hope it is not like some weird Frankenstein thing.
Nanci, I do hope you're feeling better soon. I didnt even realise you were going to have surgery since I've been so stuck in my own little world the last few weeks.
At least this way you'll be able to tap dance in sprakly shoes at the cottage this summer. Chin and feet up! You'll be right as rain in no time!
Hope you recover quickly. I need to get this done sometime, too.
