It doesn't have to be serious, which hers is as serious as she can possibly be, which is always funny anyway, but here's my first thing.
Sunrise! I love sunrises at the cottage. It's a quiet time of the day, the lake is usually quite calm, the colours are always different depending on the season, and my little hummers are always starving at this time of the day.
This is when I hear loons, more often hearing than seeing because this lake has so many echos
that carry for miles.
I often take my coffee, sit on the deck and admire nature around us and count my blessings
that we found this magical place ten years ago.
This is my first Favourite Friday posting.

I don't quilt in my pajamas normally but I do sit outside on the porch in the early morning sometimes with a cup of coffee and enjoy the nature.

What a sunrise. You can't compare a sunrise in the city to one on a quiet lake. You are blessed to have such a spot.
That is a beautiful photo, what a perfect place to sit and to be able to look at that sunrise.

What a beautiful sunrise! How lovely to have such a prime view over the lake with loons providing background music. It looks so peaceful and like a great way to start the day!

I can see why you like having your coffee outside. Another reason to cherish your beautiful cottage.

I love the great outdoors. I'm always looking at beautiful sunrises and sunsets and trying to spot birds and critters. I wish I had your cottage and lake to enjoy every day :0)

Oh, what I'd give to spend sunrise on the lake hearing the loons! I haven't had this pleasure in almost 25 years.
Nanci - if I had that sunrise each morning, that would be one of my favorite things too. I may just have to put that photo on my computer and sit on my back porch w/ my coffee and stare at it. ha ha!
